High Holy Days with Hinenu

June 01, 2018

Mark the turning of the season with Hinenu for our first High Holy Day services for 5779!
No tickets will be required for any services, but donations to cover cost will be appreciated. Please register (open mid-summer) so we can best plan.

All services will be at Homewood Friends Meeting, 3107 N. Charles Street, Baltimore MD 21218
Homewood Friends is accessible by ramp. Please contact rabbi@hinenubaltimore.org with accessibility needs.

High Holy Days 5779 Events and Services

Preparing for 5779
Beginning August 16th, a 4 part class with Rabbi Ariana exploring themes, history, and personal resonance of the season. Registration opens mid-summer.

Selichot Service - September 1
8:30-10pm Singing, contemplation, preparation for the days ahead. Come learn new tunes and take time to reflect and center ahead of the High Holy Days.

Erev Rosh HaShanah - September 9
6:30-8pm Services
Pre-service potlucks

Rosh HaShanah Day I - September 10
9:30 - 1:30 pm Morning Services, Childcare provided
Community-wide lunch potlucks

Erev Yom Kippur - September 18
Coordinated pre-fast potlucks
6:30-8:30pm Kol Nidre service, Childcare available

Yom Kippur - September 19
9:30 - 1:30 pm Services, childcare available
1:30pm Yizkor
5:45 pm Book of Jonah + Mincha
6:45 pm Ne’ilah service

Erev Sukkot - September 23
Evening meal in the Sukkah

September 29, Shabbat in the Sukkah

Simchat Torah - October 1
7:30pm Torah reading + dancing
