Field School
Sunday Mornings from 10am-12pm
Students ages 6-12 will participate in a Field School program that meets weekly on Sunday mornings and will run from January 23 through early June. Students will explore Shabbat and Jewish time, as well as Hebrew (siddur/prayerbook Hebrew and Biblical Hebrew). Sessions will alternate weekly between Shabbat and Jewish time, and Hebrew learning in hevruta (paired learning).
Our BH Field School will implement a variety of learning approaches ranging from art projects and field trips to guest teachers of all ages. As much as is possible, we will provide our Field School students the opportunity to move their bodies and to be outside!

Teen Kollel
In January 2022, Hinenu’s inaugural B’nei Mitzvah cohort will graduate into the next tier of Hinenu learning! Here are three offerings available to students ages 13+:
Jewish Justice Learning: Based on input from our current cohort, this year’s learning will focus on Climate Justice and Relationship ethics throughout Jewish texts and history. This course will meet twice a month.
Youth leadership roles: Our young people have brilliant ideas for the ways our community can engage together meaningfully and they provide perspectives that adults often miss. In service of this reality, BH works toward building youth leadership in Hinenu at large by supporting teens in taking on roles at Hinenu, through committees, Board representation, and as teaching assistants. Interested students and/or their parents should connect with Education Director Rachel Kipnes.
Madrich/a: For students interested, teens may serve as a madrich/a, or a teaching assistant for our Field School Programs.
Teen Kollel Location: primarily on Zoom with several field trips throughout (TBD)
Teen Kollel dates: 1/23, 2/6, 2/20, 3/6, 3/20, 4/3, 5/8, 5/22, 6/12 (9 sessions total) time to be determined by the families
Sliding Scale Pricing: $130-150
